GECU - Very complicated pickup sale/transfer
Selling my deceased fathers pickup. The title had his name and my mothers name.
GECU suggested i transfer the title from my fathers name to only my mothers and then to the buyer (and in the process pay the $600.00 plus sales tax TWICE). The DMV did the transfer once. From my parents to the buyer. Next, before they would give me the $9000.00 from the buyers loan, they required that i bring my 88 year old mother to their office so they could physically see her.
Despite the fact that i have power of attorney for her and showed it to them and her ID. KNOW ONE in the entire branch had a clue how to handle any of what they should have been able to do in there sleep and had to repeatedly call the main office to ask how!! I do NOT have an account with them and NEVER WILL.
Their customer service is HORRIBLE. I STRONGLY discourage ANYONE from doing business with GECU.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
